Historic Opening of AC Hotel by Marriott in Cedar Rapids’ Kingston Yard District

Kinseth Hospitality Companies (KHC) is pleased to announce the grand opening of the AC Hotel by Marriott Cedar Rapids Downtown, which officially welcomed guests on October 22, 2026. Located at 150 2nd Avenue SW in the vibrant Kingston Yard district, the new hotel brings a modern, sophisticated hospitality experience to the heart of downtown Cedar Rapids.
The 123-room hotel features thoughtfully designed guest accommodations, a state-of-the-art fitness center, flexible meeting and event space accommodating up to 125 guests, and an on-site dining room and lounge offering breakfast and dinner service. Additional amenities include an outdoor heated patio with fire pits, in-room refrigerators and safes, and convenient shuttle service.
Ideally situated for both business and leisure travelers, the hotel is steps away from popular destinations including Big Grove Brewery, Pickle Palace and Aroma Pizza. To celebrate the opening, AC Hotel by Marriott Cedar Rapids Downtown will host a Winter Wonderland Grand Opening event in partnership with the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance on Thursday, December 3, from 4–6 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy complimentary drinks, hors d’oeuvres, hotel tours and door prize giveaways while exploring the city’s newest downtown hotel.
