The groundbreaking ceremony for the Home2 Suites, located at 230 Allan Avenue SW, took place on June 1, 2023. To kick-off the event, Gary Kinseth, Kinseth Hospitality Companies Vice President; Tom Kuntz, Owatonna Mayor; Kris Busse, Owatonna City Administrator; Brad Meier, Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism President; Thomas Noble, West Development President; and Christian Lawrence, RISE Modular CEO, each shared their excitement for the project. Following, a group of investors broke ground on the coming Home2 Suites which will offer guest rooms and amenities for both leisure and business guests.

Located just off I-80 in the Iowa River Landing and a short trip to the University of Iowa and University of Iowa Health Care and Coral Ridge Mall, this hotel is part of a mixed-use building connected to the new Xtream Arena and GreenState Family Fieldhouse which also houses retail/commercial space, future office space for Kinseth Hospitality Companies, and The Lofts at Iowa River Landing luxury condos.
